Insert the device into the mouth and start inhaling. Exhale through the nose. Breathe with normal intensity. Forced breathing is unnecessary and should be avoided. As soon as the cleaning process starts, the harmful deposits will be expelled from the respiratory tract by coughing and nasal secretion. It is recommended you use the device for up to 15 minutes daily. In order to achieve better results, the device should be used continuously and not at odd times. Clean the device with slightly damp cloth only. Water must not get into the device.

Taking the Salitair into your mouth you have to inhale through it, and then blow the air out through the nose. You don't have to take deep breaths, just breathe with normal intensity. this is very important, because this is the only way that the salt crystal mixture can reach the upper respiratory tracts and that's how it cleans the whole breathing system. In addition breathing out through your nose prevents any moisture escaping back into the Salitair.

It is important to protect the Salitair from humidity and vapours so it is recommended you don’t store it in the bathroom or in the kitchen. You should avoid dropping it into water because salt crystals stick together and the instrument will get damaged.
