Patient Medication Records

Our pharmacy will keep an electronic record of your personal and prescription details including your medication history. We record all requests for advice and of any advice you are given on your individual pharmacy record. This allows the pharmacist and their dispensing teams to offer you the best possible pharmacy service.

We also are part of the NHS Summary of care records service (SCR), which allows us to check your electronic health record kept at your GP surgery. The SCR service allows pharmacists for the first time to have access to key health and clinical information that would not be usually available to them. It allows them to source information quickly and from one place meaning that they are be able to respond to your questions promptly. E.g. When preventing medication interactions and provide you with an explanation to any side affects you may be experiencing. It is important to know that this is NOT access to your full medical record, held with your doctor, it is only allows the pharmacy to view the information needed when carrying out our pharmacy duties for you.

If you want to discuss the records we keep, and the information we hold please ask to speak to the pharmacist.

Pharmacy performance and review.

Every year we undertake an annual patient survey to enable our patients to provide valuable feedback on the services that we provide. The survey, undertaken by all community pharmacies in England, is called the Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire. The report of our survey results allows us to identify the areas where we are performing most strongly, the areas for improvement and the actions required to address issues raised by respondents.
