How can Halotherapy help you?
Inhalation of hypertonic saline such as this dry salt inhaler speeds up the clearance of mucus and improves the daily function of the lungs. Clinical trials have found that this treatment may protect the lungs from further build up of mucus which is associated with the onset of lung disease.
So how effective is halotherapy?
A clinical study (Journal of Aerosol Medicine, Volume 8, Number 3, 1995) evaluated a group of people with respiratory disease ranging from moderate bronchial asthma, severe bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis. Following Halotherapy in 6 and 12 month follow ups, no aggravation of the condition was reported and most of the patients (60%) reported using no further medication or seeking medical advice. Halotherapy is a natural way to help you manage respiratory problems without medications.

Inhaling salt air cleanses the respiratory system & combats infection, making breathing easier
Natural salt has antiseptic and detoxifying properties, killing germs and bacteria while helping the body to absorb oxygen. The Inhalo DSI:Dry Salt Inhaler is a clinically tested inhaler and has a safety valve. Salt inhalation has been a therapy since the Greeks - Hippocrates recommended it for a myriad of respiratory problems.
It also seems particularly prevalent in the Eastern block and in Eastern European countries. Apparently in the former Soviet Union; a 1999 Lithuanian study of 250 children and 500 adults found that salt therapy for an hour a day for two weeks improved respiratory results in nine out of 10 cases. Sadly though many western doctors are sceptical - maybe that is because we have an NHS service that makes prescription medication freely available - but are these drugs all they are cracked up to be?
