This zaps away the pain
Anoushka Mistry, 23, is a world class athlete and personal trainer living with her parents in Middlesex. The demands of her sport mean that her joints and muscles often hurt. She doesn’t like taking painkillers, so was thrilled when a friend recommended a natural pain blocker.
“I started gymnastics young and by 13 was a serious competitor. Then I switched to sports aerobics- exercise involving circus-type movements with a partner. You have to hold up each other and do weight-bearing movements. There’s also a lot of leaps. Not surprisingly, I get ankle, knee, hip, wrist, elbow and shoulder pains.”
“I train five or six days a week as well as teaching in between. I’ve won the British championship three years running and was fifth in the European and 16th in the world, so the last thing I need is to miss training with minor injuries. I hate taking painkillers because they can have side-effects and you never know what’s going to show up in the drugs test. When a friend told me about Pain Gone it sounded too good to be true. I started using it and it worked. Now I can be sure of starting a competition without any of my movements being restricted by pain.”
MICHAEL SAYS
“This natural pain-relief device is brilliant. Pressing the button on top of the portable pen- like instrument produces a low-current charge.
When you use it over trigger points it stimulates the release of your painkilling chemicals- endorphins. Research at the Pain Clinic at Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, showed a significant reduction of pain when testers used it at rest and movement, and it increased mobility in joints. As well as sports injuries you can use it for arthritic or rheumatic discomfort in joints, muscles and tendons.
I’d also recommend Anoushka eats oily fish to protect her joints and take a cod liver oil or fish oil supplement as well as her multivitamin. Because of the high-impact work that she does, the cartilage protective Glucosamine and anti-inflammatory pineapple extract Bromelin would also be good.
