The effects of the Salt Inhaler and its recommendations for use

Subject of the test
The test is aiming at determining the influence of the salt inhaler on the human organism.

Patients
Aged between 4 and 80 diagnosed with a range of respiratory problems such as COPD, asthma and rhinitis.
23 patients received the salt inhaler and 26 received a placebo inhaler. Patients were advised to use
the inhaler three times a day for 15 minutes each time over the course of 3 weeks.

Measurements

  • Determination on FEV1 prior to use of the salt inhaler and following a period of use of about 3 weeks by means of LUNGTEST LT100 spirometer.
  • Inquiry of experiences gained by the users by means of questionnaires.
